Artist Statement
The exploration of psychological and social identity – one’s own and that perceived as »alien« – and its inscription in bodies and things was and is the »substance« of my artistic work. Material, form and presentation decisions are mostly made during and out of the »field research« on the chosen topic. »Art for art’s sake« is not mine. After a phase of »Landscapes, Flowers and Blossoms – no politics«, I have returned to political issues in recent years. Explicitly.
