Dagmar Binder
I have had my studio at Flutgraben e.V. since 1998 working in the field of textile art, with a focus on felt – in all its facets. Sculptures, installations, costumes and fashionable unique items are created from wool, fibres and fabrics in the textile laboratory (textillabor). For me, working with felt is an artistic form of expression as well as a constant research process in which I try to sound out and expand the potential of the material and a craft technique that is thousands of years old. For many years I have been passing on my experience in the form of workshops at numerous national and international textile art centres.
