Cornelia Herfurtner
Cornelia Herfurtner is a visual artist working both under her civil name and in various collective contexts. Recent works include a series of relief shields (What is a Weapon?, Very Project Space, 2021), the texts ‘On Our Streets, in Our Blocks, Down with Cops’ (Texte zur Kunst, 2020) and ‘Never relinquish the Streets’ (Fallsemester, 2020), and a series of photographs under the title ‘freedom and control of others (including myself)’ (starship #19, 2020). She works in the alliance Rheinmetall Entwaffnen [Disarm Rheinmetall] against the production and export of military weapons from Germany’s largest arms producer Rheinmetall.
