Almuth Baumfalk

In my work, I am trying to visualize that nothing is ever definite, but rather in a state of motion and of continuous change.

To convert my thoughts on volatileness and transformation into painting I am using translucent paint- and photo-elements on a transparent foundation (artificial silk), which is permeable to light and thus evokes a flotation of the painting’s elements in an imaginary inconceivable space.
