Together with Flutgraben e.V. and Public in Private, Cultural Workers Studio is proud to host “Yebba” collective from Slovenia on the dates November 19 – December 1.

YEBBA collective was initially founded in 2023 by three younger artists in the Slovenian scene (Lacković, Trampuš, Peček). In 2025 the collective was reestablished with new constellation – Lacković, Trampuš and Janjić. Members of collective often discuss current societal issues and how they feel about them. Art has a unique healing power. Why else would we engage with a field that is not profitable if not because it helps us process collective trauma?

In their first professional collaboration, the artists focused on how to process individual struggles, which are also collective, through media that are close to them—movement and sound—and thereby find a common ground with the audience, briefly creating a world that is painful but also beautiful and light. During their work and research the collective YEBBA keeps an open door for artists from different fields that join and enrich the artistic experience.

The process of the residency sees a premiere of the artists’ adaptation of their work “LP” into English language, for future international touring.

Description:
The project “LP” (Lep Pozdrav / Long Play / Live Performance) conceptually follows the form of a music album, which is created and performed live through dance and music. Before the audience, four scenes/songs unfold, touching on current topics (information overload, precarity, hyperproduction, guilt of privilege, smallness, love…) by producing music through the body, voice, repetition, rhythm, melodies, instruments, objects, and space. Dance music in the literal sense of the term.

LP is not intended to moralize, but rather shines a light on the problems we face.
