Fehras Publishing Practices warmly invites you to the premiere screening of The One Minutes Series ’Passing the Love أضيئوا بالحب قلوبكم’ joined by the presence of members of The One Minutes and the artistic universe of their mental and emotional neighbor Liad Hussein Kantorowicz aka LIADLAND.
The event will begin the evening with storytelling and poetry readings. Following that, you will journey through various intimate moments by screening the series. The evening will culminate in a music performance set, bringing us to the shore of LIADLAND.
‘Passing the Love أضيئوا بالحب قلوبكم’ is a series of 19 one-minute video works curated in collaboration with The One Minutes Foundation. The series employs intimate portraits of individuals, friends, families, and collectives as a tool for circulating affection and serves as a visual diary of emotional landscapes. “Love” here is imbued with profound meaning, not as pictured in Hollywood, but as a reflection of the complexities of shared human experiences and connections. The films encapsulate moments of care, longing, vulnerability, forgetting and becoming. The work is an invitation to consider the power of love as a methodology and the importance of community, encouraging us to find solace and strength in one another.

LIADLAND is a musician, an artist, a perpetual migrant, a queer trash diva, and a master of the margins. She brings experimental lo-fi hip hop, downtempo beats, Arab-Shami melodies as homage to her homeland of Palestine, and intimate stories unravelling as hard-hitting lyrics into a show full of strength, vulnerability and sexitude. She’ll perform songs from her debut album ‘Nothing to Declare’, as well as songs focused on life in the shadow of genocide and how it has re-defined notions of exile for different people from the region.
The One Minutes is a global network for experimental video, closely connected with art education institutions worldwide. The One Minutes Foundation produces and distributes one-minute videos, providing an international stage to create, engage and connect; an accessible, low-threshold platform for both creators and audiences. Using the forces of video, their work strives to contribute to the creation of spaces for free expression, collective imagination, and global solidarity in our diverse, yet deeply interconnected realities.
